The No-Tech Day of Play

Mark and I are on our way to Grandpa's for a holiday. We're taking lots of games to play.

But when we get there, we hear Grandpa say, "The electricity went off today!"

What will we do, What will we play, If we can't plug in our toys today?

What will we do? What will we play? If we have no computer or TV today?

Mark says, "If I can't charge my phone, I can't text or make calls. I won't have ANY fun at all!"

Grandpa says, "There are lots of games you can play. Gran and I will show you the way.

"You can play hopscotch on this sand. First hold your marker in your hand.

"Toss the marker onto square 2. Now hop, hop, hop until you're through.

"A game of ringtoss is lots of fun. Toss rings onto the peg one by one.

"Count how many rings you score. Then start again and play once more.

"You can swing under this tree, to and fro. Higher and higher and higher you go.

"You can slide down this grassy hill. Faster and faster and faster still."

Back inside, Gran says, "Those computer games that you love to play? We can play them TOGETHER any day!"

We had no computers or TV today. But we had great fun anyway!
